The Mortar Grinder Model MG100 is used to reproducibly grind, homogenize, and mix a wide range of solid materials in dry, wet, or cryogenic conditions. The material to be processed falls into the pulverizing area between the mortar and pestle via top feeding through the inlet cover.
The material is pulverized and mixed between the mortar's inner surface and the bottom of the pestle. The MG100 features an adjustable top pressure mechanism with scale, a variable speed setting (50–130 rpm), and a flexible scraper setting, enabling it to match the required pressure and sample characteristics.
Only through the combination of these three key adjustment features can a wide range of sample preparation tasks be achieved. No other grinding system is easier to clean than the MG100.
After grinding, the mortar and pestle can be removed using a bayonet lock for quick and easy cleaning.
Applications:
Grinding, homogenizing, and triturating – the MG100 is ideal for modern sample preparation laboratories. It handles dry substances and suspensions of varying viscosities for analytical, quality control, and material testing purposes. It is also suitable for homogenizing crèmes and pastes.
Typically, samples with a feed size of up to 8–10 mm and a total batch volume of up to 200 ml (depending on the sample characteristics) can be ground down to 10–20 μm.
The MG100 Mortar Grinder offers a versatile and reproducible method for grinding and homogenizing a wide range of materials, with an emphasis on ease of use, operator safety, and application flexibility.
